Burlington September 12, 2022 July 31, 2024 2 40 Full-time Contract - 2-years $45,000 to $55,000 Yes Halton Food Connect is a collaborative initiative between Halton Region and three community agencies: Burlington Food Bank, Food For Life, and Kerr Street Mission. The program’s goal is to help improve access to healthy food for individuals who are qualified recipients through the Ontario Works program. The program is based on a once-a-month delivery to households providing healthy food deliveries.
As a Driver Ambassador, you will be a part of a team of drivers that will provide home delivery support for the program’s clients. All driving will involve day trips around Halton Region (Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills), and will involve occasional weekend commitments. - Comfort driving in a large van. - Engaging with customers before and during delivery. - Lifting up to 40 lbs. - Working hours will not exceed 40 hours per week.
You bring 3-5 years of clean driving experience, with a G class license and experience driving a large delivery van or truck.
You will be interfacing and interacting directly with clients; a high degree of customer service is imperative in this role.
Your day-to-day reporting will be with the Director of Operations and Fulfillment Coordinator, and may involve working in collaboration with all stakeholders.
