We offer the following FREE range of programs and services to help you search for a job or train for a new career.

One-On-One Support
Employment Halton staff will work directly with you. We will assist you to:

• Access to local job opportunities and placement
• Access to training (e.g., Second Career and apprenticeship opportunities)
• Identify a job or career that may match your skills and interests
• Prepare your resume and cover letters and practice for job interviews
• Connect to other resources in the community

Employment Resource Centre
Our employment centre offers the following FREE services:

• Electronic job postings from local employers (updated daily)
• Onsite staff support to help you with your job/career search 
• Employment Workshops/Employer Presentations
• Second Career and Self Employment Orientation Sessions
• Mini-Job Fairs
• Internet access/ links to local employment and training websites and applications
• Access to a phone, fax machine and photocopier
• Books, career guides, local newspapers and business directories

Our employment centre is also designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities. Accessibility features include:

• Adjustable workstations to accommodate mobility devices
• Software including: TextNET, Jaws, ZoomText, Kruzwiel, Guide
• Ubi duo wireless communications system to support people with hearing loss

Job Placement Services
We work with local employers to meet their hiring needs. We can match your skills and interests to job opportunities available in Halton. We can:

• Connect you with local employers
• Submit your job applications and arrange for interviews
• Assist with the development of on-the-job training plans
• Provide training incentives and employment supports
• Provide after placement monitoring and support
